Ryan is a Front Range native with roots in both Wyoming and Colorado. He graduated from Mullen High School in Denver in 1994 with honors, winning the Denver Post Gold Helmet Award, given to Colorado’s outstanding football player-scholar. Upon graduation Ryan earned a football scholarship to the University of Miami; while there, he led the Hurricanes offense for three years as the quarterback and team captain. Off the field he was honored with the Walter Kichefski Football Scholarship Endowment given to the Hurricane demonstrating exemplary leadership and character. Ryan was named to the American Football Coaches Association All American Team in 1997 for his play and service to the South Florida community.

Ryan took his college playing career to the next level in subsequent years. He played professionally in NFL Europe, the CFL, the Arena League, and the XFL. Once his playing days ended, Ryan returned to Miami and entered the University of Miami School Of Law where he earned his JD in 2005. While in law school, Mr. Clement worked with the Dade County Public Defender’s office, and for Cole Scott & Kissane, a litigation firm.

Ryan returned to Colorado in 2006 where he began work for The Kenney Group as a political strategist and government affairs professional. While at The Kenney Group, Ryan’s client list included Wal-Mart, The US Chamber of Commerce, PhRMA, the Fellows Companies, A&C Properties, BP, and many successful legislative, issue, and candidate campaigns.

Ryan has been active in the Denver community since his return, serving on the board of Open Door Youth Gang Alternatives, helping the Daniel Graham Foundation with fundraising, and starting a youth football skills development business called Category 5. Ryan is a principle in Evolution Sports Management, a full service sports management and representation firm, who’s most recent client signing is Marcus Burton, a standout linebacker from the University of Colorado. Mr. Clement was also accepted into the Downtown Denver Partnership Leadership Program for 2010.

Ryan makes his home in Centennial with his wife Ann and son Lane.
